Education
BA Hons. Applied Design              Edinburgh College of Art, 1983 – 1987
MA Art in Architecture                   University of East London, 1993 - 1994
·       Experienced lead artist, background in community projects, site specific working, regeneration and environment. Interested in working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary design team. More recent projects try to influence the decision making process and provide a catalyst for change to develop holistic environments of added value in relation to Place-making and projects with wider social outcomes.
·       Various public art commissions, in Scotland and UK.
·       Other exhibited works include, ceramics, stencil montage painting, installation, soft sculpture and photography
·       Formed AiA Art in Architecture in 2001
·       Collaboration with partner Ross McEwan consolidated the practice as an artist led urban design team in 2003.
·       Established gallerie ecosse d’Oc with Ross McEwan in 2003
·       Established gallerA1 with Ross McEwan in 2004
·       Initiated the JUMP Group in December 2007, current JUMP Secretary and JUMP Lead Artist
JUMP Joined Up Master Planning is a constituted voluntary group open to everyone concerned in raising the quality of their built environment through proactive campaigning to influence change in policy and practice. JUMP established to assist people to engage in the complex and lengthy planning process, gaining a collective voice and increasing their effect on decision makers.
Equally, although not primarily, JUMP campaign about the scope for arts led regeneration and the role lead artists can play at a strategic level in local area planning, civic authority procedure.
